LOVED touring with Wade! He picked out some great wineries (I got a huge haul) and made all the reservations for us despite us booking less than 24 hours prior to our planned departure! With everything going on, I wanted to look beyond the giant wine bus tours and find something safer and more private. The small group tour made such a big difference and made for an great, personalized experience.

The tour vehicle is lovely. There are individual sunroofs for each passenger in the first row in the back, heated seats (we didn’t need in the summer but still nice), and super spacious! Wade is very careful about keeping the car air flowing and keeping all surfaces clean. He wore a mask the entire time, as did we. The windows are kept open so air circulates throughout the trip.

Wade was an amazing tour driver: he lets you spend as long or as little as you want at a winery. I’ve been on larger tours in Napa Valley where we didn’t really like a winery but we were stuck spending time and money there for two hours because the tour makes you! But here we could go wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted, and Wade had great suggestions so that we didn’t have to do a bunch of research beforehand. It was also so much more affordable than I thought it would be. My friends and I are recent graduates and we were looking for a reasonable price. It was worth every penny. Very happy with our experience!

Wade at Screech Owl Tours is the best! This gentleman was so helpful in learning about our small group, making suggestions and even guiding us on how to line up the winery reservations! What a wonderful man, he made this little wine tasting excursion so much easier to manage! He drove us around in a brand new Ford SUV and literally drove us and then walked us up to the doors. We had such an enjoyable morning and we didn’t have to worry about directions or transportation. Wade is very proactive so if you are planning a afternoon or day, he will communicate ahead of time so your day will be a great success. While at the wineries he would periodically check in to see if we needed anything. I would utilize Screech Owl anytime in this area. I would highly recommend this company for your next excursion!

We booked our tour with Wade Wykstra of Screech Owl Tours through our B&B (Yale Manor) and had a fantastic day exploring 4 different wineries along the eastern side of Seneca Lake.  There are many wineries to choose from and Wade did an excellent job in choosing the wineries on our itinerary, each providing a different tasting experience, as well as a variety of different types of wine typical of the Finger Lake region.  The time on the tour was our own and we could stay as long as we wanted at each winery.  Screech Owl Tours follows all COVID guidelines and we were very comfortable touring with Wade, and learning about the region from his wealth of knowledge.  It was an amazing day!

Such a wonderful day touring the Finger Lake wineries with Wade of Screech Owl Tours.  Wade called us in advance of our scheduled tour to learn a little bit about us, what type of wine we liked and the atmosphere we were looking for while at a winery.  Even with Covid19 restrictions, we felt safe and attended to.  We wore masks in the very nice, clean vehicle with the air conditioning and windows open a bit for air circulation. Wade was a very gracious host offering us the ultimate in flexibility during our day.  If we wanted to stay at a winery a bit longer, no problem.  We simply texted Wade when we were ready.  The area is beautiful, the wineries we visited (3 that day) were excellent.  Why drive around yourself when you can have a lovely, relaxing day tasting wine and enjoying the beautiful countryside worry free.  Totally recommend Wade at Screech Owl Tours.  You will love it!

My husband and I headed to the Finger Lakes region to explore the wine trail in August of this year.  We weren’t familiar with the area and didn’t want to drive while tasting wine/beer all day, so we took the advice of our B&B host and hired Wade for the afternoon.  I believe it was about 4 hours.  He was great!  His vehicle was clean and comfortable. He asked us a series of questions to get an idea of what type of vineyards and sightseeing we would enjoy.  Wade is very familiar with the area and all the vineyards and we liked all his recommendations. He was flexible and took us to about five different vineyards and recommended a place for food as well. We talked to Wade all day and picked his brain about all sorts of things. His insight and knowledge were fantastic.  We never felt rushed and he returned us to our B&B safe and sound albeit a little buzzed and tired from a long day of tastings.  Well worth the money. I highly recommend Screech Owl Tours.

6-stars! This was amazing! Our B&B referred us to Wade when all wine tours we found on line were booked. My partner (a total introvert) was at first worried (a stranger drive our car!?) BEST EVER! No packed in bus/van with 20-40 strangers (made the introvert even happier). Private, personal, safe & in the comfort of our own car! His knowledge made the experience spot on for our wine tastes. Cost was about the max the two of us would have spent with a bigger operator. So very worth it! Going to look for Wade-type tours on future wine endeavors.
